Senior Portfolio

Ivy

It is so important for me to talk to my Seniors about their outfits. During our style consultation I ask them what they love, what they feel comfortable in, and what they feel amazing in. They pick out 4-5 outfits. We discuss jewelry, hair and make up. I don’t want them to be embarrassed about their outfit choices 5 years from now.

Ivy picked outfits that totally made her feel amazing. And when you feel amazing, you look amazing.

And then of course we had to use her dance recital costume for a super edgy, contemporary look.

I really feel bad for the Class of 2020. High School, College, Middle School, etc. Even my own little Kindergartner missed out on an end of the year celebration.

So when Salina told me she missed out on all of the fun end of year excitement most Seniors get to enjoy, I knew I had to make her portrait session extra special.

In her style consultation we talked about choosing outfits that are timeless and classic. You certainly don’t want to regret the look you decided to go for which is totally outdated now.

She totally knocked it out of the park.

Way up high..

The location of a photo shoot says a lot about a client.  We can go to the middle of a wheat field for my clients that love rustic and charming.  We can go downtown among the concrete jungle for my clients that love a modern edge.

So when it came time to plan out Hannah's Senior Portfolio we honestly were stuck.  How can I narrow down this girl?  She is so fun but so mature.  She is edgy buy down to earth.  She is modern but such a romantic.  So I had an idea.  In downtown Wilmington there is a new (to me) parking deck.  And so on a Thursday night we went to the very tippy top and with an amazing view of Wilmington we made some beautiful art.  Do you see the symbolism?  Here she is, her Senior year at the very top with her whole future spread out in front of her.

But first, pictures...
